Silly me

Here, I thought Rick Warren was going to be nothing but an embarrassment at the invocation. Turns out, his prayer was a great addition to the ceremony: classy, elegant, touching. Reminiscent of the Christians of old.

What was I worried about? Silly me.

Do I detect a slight note of sarcasm in this blog post?

What a gasbag Warren is. Actually, this is the first time I ever bothered to listen to him and that’s only because my good friend Elliott thought it important enough to put in his blog.

In addition to his well-known homo-hate, Warren sounds like a fucking racist to me. He sure made a point of making sure we all knew about Obama’s African-American roots. Duh! He also pronounced the Obama children’s names like they were characters from some African mythology. But I guess to Warren, it’s all just mythology, isn’t it?

What did this guy’s cheesy performance really add to the inaugauration? Insipid, dull, repetitious mythology. And people pay this guy for this shit. Lots. Yeech.
