That said, recent experience and information (since we last spoke at approximately 3:30 p.m. on 4/23/09) of reactions to an extraordinary life-altering event have caused me to question some of your (and mine) assumptions of the value to humans of their religous beliefs. In particular, your statement that: "Do the handful of benefits we gain from religion outweigh its negative aspects? I submit that they do not," I now believe is not necessarily true. I look forward to speaking to you personally about this subject and providing additional information which may alter your belief or at least improve your understanding. Love ya - later - lunch?
