As part of a project to translate a story from St'át'imcets, I found it necessary to develop a set of commands to produce special characters in LaTeX. These include glottalized consonants, underlined and accented characters, as well as special phonetic characters.

Below I’ve included a list of the commands to be copy/pasted into the preamble of a LaTeX document (text file here), and instructions for using the commands (PDF file here). If you have any questions or suggestions for improvement, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
